Engrossing and Well Done New Procedural
I am a giant fan of procedurals--everything from the much acclaimed and very gritty The Wire to the BBC's Foyle's War to more frothy fare such as Castle or Rizzoli and Isles. (The Closer is another favorite). As such, I was delighted to stumble upon Motive, a summer offering by ABC which has been airing successfully in Canada already. LOVE IT! The format of this show is to reveal the killer and victim in the first moments and then let the story unfold that explains how they are connected and how the murder came to pass and, of course, the titular motive.
The lead actors, Kristin Lehman and Louis Ferreira, are very appealing. Ms. Lehman portrays a tough detective with both a snarky side and a very sensitive and kind side. The way she handles a victim's spouse in the opening moments of the pilot, showing a kindness for the awkwardness and poignancy of the moment, instantly and forever endeared her to me and such "real" and true feeling moments are a special aspect of the...
Great show
I love this show. I watch a ton of crime solving or detective type shows. I really enjoyed this one, the approach is totally different during the show while the police are attempting to solve the crime it shows you the person committing the crime. Its very entertaining and easy to follow.
Can't wait for Season 2
I wasn't sure with the first episode, but then I fell in Love with having to come up with the Motive
